Sorry, the title is a running joke between two of my friends on having energy. Heck, I'm not even involved in said running joke!! And now you all know what a sad little life I lead...

But my god, I actually have ENERGY!! I thought this was something that got buried along with my exams! I've been posting some old stuff which I had been planning to put up for the past half year or so, though obviously 2 year old stuff aren't very satisfying, so I also need to hurry up and complete or at least tidy up my recent drawings and kick myself to post them. It's not as if posting them will change my life, but - well, I dunno - the act of doing so is sort of... satisfying. I'm the kind of person to whom nothing is EVER finished. I can't just say "ok that's done and dusted". It's always "hmmm I'll improve it later". And sometimes, 'later' just never comes.

I do love this emoticon: :typerhappy: It makes me laugh! I don't think it was there until recently.

I have been 18 for a week. I've been an adult for a week. O! Never more will I step into the gardens of childhood, where my most precious memories are left behind! Ooh! It brings tears to my eyes! :cries:

Sorry, melodrama finished. In fact, I was about as indifferent as a person could be on their 18th birthday, and still am now, although I still need to get used to the fact that I can, oh, er, buy alcohol, fireworks, cigarettes, houses, watch 18 films, run off and get married without my parents' permission, vote, gamble, change my name.......and browse the internet without restriction. The last one is possibly the most dangerous of the lot. I am beginning to feel that too much freedom could do more harm than good, so I need to be careful.

Although... I didn't know that I could have bought an air rifle last year on my 17th birthday. Goddamn it!! I'm like, totally gutted, you know? I've waited my entire life to buy one of these and I could have got it one year ago!!! I feel cheated, man!!!!!!

Seriously though. How random is that?

Ok, I really need to quit wasting my time and actually get some SLEEP before I get even higher from the lack of it...

Your journal post really amuses me :D (why didn't it show up in my inbox though...) Anyway, turning 18 has been exactly the same for me. I didn't feel much more of an adult (nor do I now actually) Congratulations though on your birthday~!
:iconcloverlime:
Haha! Thanks! :glomp: I'm glad and relieved that it does! My god, I wrote it so late in the night, I was a little bit high and didn't have any discretion in what I was saying, and also went overboard with the exclamation marks (always a sign of being high).

I think there's a box you have to check to be updated on people's journals. It's on that page where there are loads of boxes to tick about deviants that you're watching...

Btw do you have Painter 2, or Corel Painters 2 Essentials? I have a feeling that the essentials bit might make a difference. I know that photoshop essentials is ENTIRELY inferior to photoshop; I cannot for the life of me use that thing, even for photos!
:iconvyrilien:
Hahaha, I always avoid posting anything late at night for that very same reason :XD: The night brings out the whacko in me too.

It was ticked actually; or I remember doing that. Guess I'll need to take another good look =P

It's Corel Painter Essentials 2. Huh, never knew there was a difference actually :XD:
:iconcloverlime:
Now that I remember it, I really was like this: :typerhappy: even though at the time I thought "wow, crazy type-happy freak!" But that's exactly what I was.

Now that you've shown what wonders can be achieved by poor old painter essentials 2, I need to give it a try...
:iconvyrilien:

And it isn't a great program, but in my opinion not a bad one either, so who knows, maybe you'll like it :D Don't expect any fancy options with layers though. I never use layers thanks to their inefficiency with painter.
